AMMAN-BASED
INTERIOR & SPATIAL DESIGN STUDIO

Intro

Founded in 2024 by interior and spatial designers Rama Al Masri and Sima Karadsheh, studio36east is an Amman-based design studio working across architecture, interiors, and spatial experiences. Shaped by a shared academic background and years of collaboration, the studio was formed with a clear belief that spaces should be thoughtful, contextual, and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them.

Both founders hold a master’s of science degree in Interior and Spatial Design from Politecnico di Milano. Their education, combined with professional experience in architectural offices in both Amman and Milan, informs a design approach that balances local sensitivity with an international outlook.

studio36east works across a range of project types and scales, approaching each with the same level of care and curiosity. The studio’s process is grounded in research, listening, and a strong conceptual foundation, allowing each project to evolve naturally from its context, program, and cultural setting.

In addition to architectural and interior design, the studio specializes in high-quality 3D visualizations and renderings, using visualization as a design tool to explore atmosphere, materiality, and spatial narrative rather than as a final image alone.

At its core, studio36east is interested in how spaces are experienced, remembered, and lived in over time. Through a considered and collaborative process, the studio aims to create environments that feel intentional, honest, and quietly distinctive.

Rama Al Masri

Rama Al Masri is interested in how ideas are shaped and articulated. Her approach focuses on form, structure, and the overall composition of a project, with close attention to how a space is read and understood. She is drawn to the process of refining concepts and translating them into clear, cohesive spatial expressions.

“Clarity comes from knowing what to keep, and what to let go.”

Sima Karadsheh

Sima Karadsheh approaches design through experience and narrative. She is attentive to detail, atmosphere, and the way spaces are lived in over time. Her work often considers how materials, light, and small gestures come together to create spaces that feel personal, grounded, and meaningful.

“A space works when it feels natural to live in, not when it tries to impress.”
